Gulinbursti Pendant, Freyr's Boar, Copper Boar, Heathen Jewelry, Viking Pendant

A real statement piece featuring Gullinbursti (Freyr's Boar) and Dragon bloodstone.

Gullinbursti (“Golden Bristles”) is Freyr’s boar in Norse mythology. The boar is faster than any horse, maybe with the exception of Odin’s horse Sleipnir. Its bristles are made from gold, so even in the middle of the night, the bristles in its mane will light up the sky as if it were day.

The boar was made by the two dwarves Brokkr and Eitri during a bet with the trickster Loki. He had claimed that they would never be able to make anything as good as the Sons of Ivaldi, who had made Skidbladnir, Odin’s spear, and Sif’s golden hair.

Dragons Blood Jasper was given to warriors as a talisman of protection. It was believed to give warriors the courage of a dragon, and the cellular regenerative healing of a reptile working to heal wounds, and stop bleeding.

We celebrate this figure of norse mythology with this striking beaded neck chain and pendant.

The main feature of this piece is the solid weighty 3d copper boar pendant. This is adorned with copper coloured glass pony beads, 10mm dragon bloodstone beads, antique bronze metal spacer beads, including 2 embossed with triquetra symbols, black dyed 10mm wooden beads and 10mm lava stone beads all strung on a flexible 22inch sturdy gold plated stainless steel bead wire with a lobster claw fastening.

This necklace will be presented in a cloth Yggdrasil gift pouch as shown.
